Effective date: April 19, 2026Welcome to CaptureMind. These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the app and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
CaptureMind is a local-first iOS app that helps you organize, search, and act on the screenshots you have already captured. It uses on-device OCR to extract text, applies heuristic auto-tagging, and lets you group screenshots into collections and favorites for fast recall. All processing happens on your device.
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. The Service is intended for personal, non-commercial use to organize screenshots that you own or are otherwise permitted to retain.
You are solely responsible for the screenshots stored in your photo library and the information they contain. You should not use CaptureMind to organize, retain, or share content that you do not have the legal right to possess.
Text extraction and auto-tagging are produced by automated, on-device processes and may contain errors, missing words, or incorrect tags. They are provided for convenience only and should not be relied upon for any purpose where accuracy is critical (for example, financial, legal, or medical decisions).
Screenshots may contain content (logos, app names, trademarks, copyrighted text or images) that belongs to third parties. CaptureMind is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of those third parties. You are responsible for how you use, copy, or share screenshots that contain third-party content.
CaptureMind stores its index locally on your device. Deleting the app, resetting your device, or restoring from a backup that excludes app data will permanently remove the CaptureMind index (collections, favorites, tags, OCR text). The original screenshots remain in your system Photos library and are not affected. We recommend keeping your device backed up via iCloud or Finder. We are not responsible for data loss resulting from device failure, accidental deletion, or app removal.

Some features may, in the future, require a one-time purchase or in-app subscription. Any such payments would be processed by Apple through the App Store and would be subject to Apple's terms and policies. You can manage purchases in your App Store account settings.
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of bugs. The Service does not provide financial, legal, medical, or professional advice of any kind.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CaptureMind and its creators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, missed information, or decisions made based on text extracted by the app.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms. We will post any changes on this page with an updated effective date.
